Duties

The Devils Lake Public Ways Department maintains the cemetery, plantings at the cemetery, and lot location.

Location

The Devils Lake City Cemetery is located at the corner of 7th Street NE and 14th Avenue NE.

Hours Of Operation

The Devils Lake City Cemetery is open to the public from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.

Purchase And/Or Locate A Grave Space

If you wish to purchase a grave space or need assistance in locating a grave space, please contact the City Assessor's office at (701) 662-7600, ext. 228 or email Donna Wolf.

Donations Or Memorials

Donations or Memorials can be sent to the City of Devils Lake, Attn: Cemetery, PO Box 1048, Devils Lake, ND 58301.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the Devils Lake City Cemetery.

Plantings

The Devils Lake Public Ways Department must approve all plantings of trees or bushes in the Devils Lake City Cemetery. To accommodate watering of trees, bushes, and flowers, there is over 14,500 feet of water line installed in the Devils Lake City Cemetery. Any special requests for trimming trees, filling in low areas, or planting trees or grass may be directed to the Public Ways Department at (701) 662-7605 or by calling the City Assessor's office at (701) 662-7600, ext. 228.

Artificial Flowers

Except for artificial flowers that are attached to the headstone, all artificial flowers must be removed by the 2nd Monday after Memorial Day.
